A Nigerian man was sentenced to two years imprisonment on 10 September, 2013 along with fine under inter alia Section 66A and 66D of the IT Act for duping a widow in Aurangabad.

Manualo alias Friaday Akphan alia Fry sent an email to the widow stating that she had won a "Pepsi prize" worth Rs. 7 Crore and that she should send her family details to be contacted for delivery of prize money. Pursuant to this the Nigerian had asked the widow to deposit money in his account for the clearance of the "prize money" in India, to which she complied. The man then informed her that he would be coming to Aurangabad to give her the prize money.

Consequently, the man was caught by the police in Aurangabad, who laid a trap for his arrest upon being approached by the widow.
